Indonesia SDPPI Certification

Indonesia SDPPI (Direktorat Jenderal Sumber Daya dan Perangkat Pos dan Informatika) certification is the mandatory certification by the Indonesian Directorate General of Posts and Informatics Resources for radio equipment.

SDPPI certification can be applied for through an Indonesian local agent and typically accepts FCC or CE test reports.

Indonesia SDPPI (Direktorat Jenderal Sumber Daya dan Perangkat Pos dan Informatika) is the regulatory agency that formulates, plans, and implements standardization policies in the fields of radio and communications. It has public service functions, including issuing radio frequency spectrum licenses, monitoring radio frequency interference and distortion. It is an organization with wireless/communications testing and certification capabilities, including wireless product SDPPI certification.

Wireless products exported to Indonesia must pass Indonesian SDPPI type approval and customs inspection. The Indonesian Directorate General of Posts and Telecommunications (DGPT) has mandated since June 2009 that companies outside Indonesia are prohibited from being certificate holders for type approval.

3. The certificate is valid for three years but can only be renewed once (extending the validity by three years). After six years, a completely new application must be submitted. Products with WLAN and BT functionality must provide production samples.

Since November 14, 2014, all products with WLAN and BT functionality must provide production samples for testing. The previous policy of accepting normal samples for Bluetooth products has been cancelled.

SDPPI certification typically accepts FCC or CE RED test reports.

Certification must be submitted through an Indonesian local agent (domestic representative).

The typical certification cycle is 4-8 weeks, and the SDPPI certificate is valid for 3 years.

Product labels must display the SDPPI certification number and logo.

7. For Indonesian certification, a local Indonesian company authorized by the overseas manufacturer must be provided as the certificate holder. The local company can be the manufacturer's local agent, local distributor, or local broker. (Testing must be conducted in Indonesia.)
