Battery UL Certification

UL Certification is a registered trademark of UL LLC (formerly Underwriters Laboratories Inc.) Product Safety Certification issued by. Founded in 1894, UL is one of the most authoritative safety science institutions in the world. Battery UL Certification is evaluated against UL 1642 (Lithium Battery Cell Safety Standard) and UL 2054 (Home and Commercial Battery Pack Safety Standard). UL Certification is divided into Listed Mark, Recognized Mark, and Classified Mark. UL Certified battery products can be highly recognized in the North American market and are an important qualification for accessing retail channels in the United States and Canada. The UL standard differs from the IEC standard in terms of test methods, but in recent years UL has gradually adopted some IEC standard content.

To apply for UL Certification, you need to provide the following information: product specifications, circuit schematics, BOM bill of materials, battery specifications (if the battery has UL Certification, UL file number can be provided), product labels and manuals, factory information and quality management system documents. Note: The UL Certification cycle is long, typically 8 to 12 weeks. UL Certification fees include application fees, testing fees, and annual tracking service fees. UL Listing Certification requires annual follow-up inspections, and companies need to reserve budget and time. If the Battery Cell is UL 1642 certified, the UL 2054 certification of the Battery Pack can refer to the results of the monomer test, and some tests can be exempted. UL standards are updated frequently, it is recommended to pay attention to the latest version requirements. Unlike the test standards of other certifications (such as CB Certification, CCC Certification), UL Certification is generally not interchangeable. UL Certification is an almost irreplaceable option for products aimed at retail channels in North America.
