GB 6675 is China's national standard"Toy Safety" series standard, by the State Administration for Market Regulation(SAMR)andnational standard Administration(SAC)published by.GB 6675series standardis identical to or modified fromISO 8124international toy safety standard, istoy products in China market mandatorynational standard.The current version isGB 6675-2014series(Parts 1 to 4), since2016years11mandatory implementation.GB 6675together with EUEN 71and USASTM F963constitute the three major global toy safety standard systems.InChinatoys sold must also passCCC Compulsory Product Certification(Chinacompulsory certification).

GB 6675 applies to all toy products intended for use by children under 14, including: plush toys, plastic toys, electric toys, assembly toys, educational toys, model toys, art supplies such as watercolor pens, children's sports equipment, toy instruments, stuffed toys, infant teethers and chew toys, aquatic toys, children's tents and playhouses. The following products are not covered: sports equipment (non-toy use), public playground equipment, adult collectible models.

GB 6675-2014 Series Standards Include the Following Parts

GB 6675.4-2014 "Migration of Certain Elements"Tests the migration of soluble harmful elements in toy materials under simulated gastric acid conditions.

Extraction MethodUsing 0.07 mol/L hydrochloric acid at37±2 °Cfor 1 hour with shaking (simulated gastric acid extraction).

Additionally, GB 6675.1-2014 references the following chemicalPlasticizer limits (updated 2016): DBP, BBP, DEHP in plastic components of toys each must not exceed0.1 %(mouthable parts), DINP, DIDP, DNOP eachmust not exceed0.1 %(mouthable parts).

Specific Chemical Substance LimitsFormaldehyde release must not exceed30 mg/kg(textile components); cleavable aromatic amines must not exceed20 mg/kg(24 substances on the banned azo dye list).

GB 6675.2-2014 "Mechanical and Physical Properties"
Test Items	Small parts testing, edge and point sharpness, moving parts clearance, projectile kinetic energy, acoustic testing, stability testing, cord length, etc.
Key Limits	Toys for children under 36 months must not contain parts that fit entirely within the small parts cylinder; projectile kinetic energy limits are consistent with EN 71.
GB 6675.3-2014 "Flammability"
Test Items	Overall flammability testing, plush fabric flame propagation speed, head-worn toy burn rate.
Limit	The flame propagation speed on plush fabric surfaces must not exceed 30 mm/s (self-extinguishing is compliant).

GB 6675.1-2014 "Basic Specifications": Establishes basic principles of toy safety, term definitions, age grouping requirements, and exemption provisions. Requires that toys must not pose unacceptable risks to children's health and safety.

CCC Compulsory Product Certification

Complete steps from application to certification

GB 6675 Testing and CCC Certification Process
Step 1	Confirm the toy product category and applicable GB 6675 sub-standard.
Step 2	Prepare technical documents (product specifications, design drawings, BOM list, etc.).
Step 3	Send samples to a CCC-designated laboratory or ISO 17025 accredited laboratory for testing.
Step 4	After obtaining the test report, apply for CCC certification (if required).
Step 5	Obtain the CCC certificate after passing the factory audit.
Step 6	Products are labeled with the CCC mark and product information labels.
Step 7	Annual follow-up audit and certificate maintenance.

The CCC certification cycle is approximately 8 to 12 weeks (including testing and factory audit).
